We ask that you support this cause by simply checking out the entries in the "Faces of Hunger in America" contest and you will see the thought-provoking results from the time spent by the entrants in their communities filming the issues of hunger as they see it.
The six (6) videos with the highest online voting will move to the final round where a panel of judges will decide on the 3 winners who will get a total of $10,000 in prizes.
In return for your support of these creative young film-makers, all registered GS members who cast a vote for their favorite film(s) will automatically be put in the running for some great prizes (iPod's and iTunes cards). You can come back each day to cast your vote(s). The more votes you cast, the more chances you have in the random selection for prizes (no purchase necessary, some restrictions apply).
GotSpot will give away the following prizes, to voters on the Faces of Hunger film contest, chosen randomly - an 8G iPod Touch, a cool "Green" 2G iPod Shuffle and (3) $15.00 iTunes cards. The more votes you cast, the more chances you have to win. Restrictions apply. Voting ends on 12/04/2009 08:59 PM PST.
Rules of voting/prizes;
- Must be a registered voter to be in the running for these prizes. No purchase necessary.
- You may vote once per day, per film during the entire voting period when signed in as a "registered" user.
- Anonymous Voting will not count toward any consideration for prize selection.
- We will only count the voter’s votes, for “up to” the first six (6) entries voted upon per day, for that day. Anything beyond that for the day will be ignored. Meaning, voting for all videos will not increase your chances.
- Participants must be a US resident. We will not ship to a PO box.
- All accounts are verified. Creating “phantom” email accounts/addresses to register user accounts on GotSpot will forfeit your chances in the running as a contestant or voter.
- Contestants are not eligible for the voter prizes.
- The voter will be the first name listed at “random” based on the above criteria. If recipient does not claim the prize within 14 days, the next person on the list will be contacted.
